Steward's Report
Boston Quay was quick to begin. Mr. Worldwide was slow to begin.
Solar Tiny checked off Akoya approaching the first turn. Mr. Worldwide and Cryer's Spring collided on the first turn, checking Mr. Worldwide. Boston Quay checked off Solar Tiny approaching the home turn, checking Abby's Star. Razor Burn turned its head outwards entering the home straight and collided with Akoya; checking Akoya. Razor Burn turned its head outwards and visably eased in the home straight. Solar Tiny and Cryer's Spring collided in the home straight, checking Solar Tiny.
Razor Burn underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions on the metatarsal area of both hindlegs. No day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Ms R Gibbons regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering and in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Razor Burn was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Gibbons pleaded guilty to the charge, Razor Burn must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
