Stewards spoke to Mr A King, trainer of Leather And Lace, regarding the circumstances pertaining to the scratching of the greyhound in this event. Stewards noted that Barellen Mist, also trained by Mr King was afforded a start due to the scratching. Mr. King stated he withdrew Leather And Lace last night after he discovered that the greyhound had a cut to its paw. Stewards noted his comments and took no further action.
Mahogany Flame and Hostile Raven were slow to begin.
Savannah Lee checked off Invictus Atticus approaching the first turn. Nero Bale checked off Barellen Mist on the first turn.
