Thriving was quick to begin.
Print The Cash, Totally Bella, Talking Numbers and Aston Victory collided soon after the start. Aston Victory and Mac's A Million collided approaching the first turn. Print The Cash and Totally Bella collided approaching the first turn cehcking Totally Bella. Talking Numbers and Totally Bella collided approaching the first turn checking Totally Bella. Print The Cash checked off Triving on the first turn. Aston Victory and Fine Tactics collided in the front straight. Totally Numbers checked off Print The Cash on the second turn causing Totally Bella to contact the running rail and lose ground. Aston Victory and Talking Numbers collided approaching the third turn. Aston Victory and Totally Bella collided on the third turn checking Totally Bella.
Totally Bella underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left sartorius and left monkey muscle injuries. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Thriving - winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to kennel supervisor Mr.C.Johnson and issued a warning pursuant GAR 86(o)(negligence), after he left the kennel bay unattended following this event. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration and remediation.
