Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Shanlyn Charlott and Zipping Zarbo collided approaching the first turn.  Smokin' Cindy checked off Shanlyn Charlott approaching the first turn.  Zipping Zarbo checked off Nangar Diva on the first turn.  Ruby Girl crossed out on the first turn and collided with Philadelphia Pip.  Talulah Bale and Run Baba Run collided approaching the second turn.  Smokin' Cindy, Ruby Girl and Philadelphia Pip collided in the back straight.

Start A Riot – Late scratching at 5.00pm when Mr K. Hellmuth reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Shima Breeze - Late scratching at 7.23pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to an abrasion to the left hind foot. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Black Opium was quick to begin.

Origami Angel and Easy Choice collided soon after the start.Origami Angel, Easy Choice and Shantelle Rose collided approaching the first turn checking Gladioli Bale.  Zipping Magda checked off Black Opium on the first turn checking Zipping Magda causing Zipping Magda and Origami Angel to collide and race wide.  Easy Choice and Shantelle Rose collided approaching the second turn checking Easy Choice.  Gladioli Bale checked off Easy Choice approaching the second turn.  Zipping Magda and Origami Angel collided on the second turn.

Sprint Gordon checked off One Night Only soon after the start causing Sprint Gordon and Zipping Hunter to collide, as a result checking Zipping Hunter.  Farmor Beach and Sparky Girl collided approaching the first turn.  Sparky Girl, Eastside and One Night Only collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds, causing Silver Smarty to check off One Night Only, Silver Smarty raced wide as a result.  Zipping Hunter and Eastside collided approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Peas And Carrots and Sprint Gordon collided on the home turn.

Dewana Success crossed to the rail soon after the start causing Dewana Success, Chief's Magic, Secret Chip and Devel Sixteen to collide checking all four greyhounds.  Dewana Success, Run Like Jess, Devel Sixteen and Sailing Shoes collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds, causing Run Like Jess, Sailing Shoes and Chief's Magic to collide checking all three greyhounds.  Devel Sixteen and Dewana Success collided approaching the second turn and again entering the back straight.  Secret Chimp and Dewana Success collided in the back straight.  Chief's Magic and Sailing Shoes collided on the third turn checking Chief's Magic.
