Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Jebrynah Octave and Curious Faith were slow to begin.  La Quinta Rocks and Hayley Hook collided on the first turn.  Diamond Cartel was checked off La Quinta Rocks on the home turn.

Hurricane Red and Canowindra collided on the first turn.  Line Trike, Blair Bale and Gojek collided on the first turn.  Line Trike was checked off Blair Bale approaching the home turn.

Maverick Nacho was quick to begin.  Aston Peroni, Father Phevos and Madalia Ken collided on the first turn checking Father Phevos.  Madalia Ken and Aston Peroni collided on the first turn checking Aston Peroni.  Madalia Ken, Parumba Barcia and Scorching Ember collided on the first turn. Zambora Lulu was checked off Parumba Barcia on the first turn.  Scorching Ember raced wide on the home turn.

It's Not Fun was quick to begin.  Baz The Rocket, Muza's Angel and Gotham Duke collided soon after the start.  Jebrynah Echo, Petite Charlotte, Splitting Image and It's Not Fun collided on the first turn checking Petite Charlotte and Splitting Image.  Dyna Waqa was checked off Muza's Angel on the first turn checking Baz The Rocket.  It's Not Fun was checked off Muza's Angel on the first turn checking Dyna Waqa and Baz The Rocket.   Petite Charlotte was checked off Splitting Image approaching the home turn.

A sample was taken from Aston Wizard at the trainer's kennel earlier today.

Bomber's Wonder was quick to begin.  Mighty Marvin, Aston Wizard and Seve Rose were slow to begin.  Invictus Spirit was checked off Toby Time approaching the first turn.  Mighty Marvin and Invictus Spirit collided on the home turn.  Bomber's Wonder was checked off Mighty Marvin in the home straight.  Mighty Marvin and Seve Rose collided in the home straight. Mighty Marvin lost ground approaching the winning post.

Mighty Marvin underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have cramped.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (cramp) Mighty Marvin must perform a satisfactory trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post race sample was taken from Pirates Patch - winner of the event.

I'm The Greatest was slow to begin.  Greysynd Spectre and Baileys On Ice collided soon after the start.  Baggy' Gold and Our Missy Grace collided on the first turn checking Baggy's Gold which faltered and subsequently tailed off.  Lamotta, Our Missy Grace and Vegas Rules collided on the home turn.

Baggy's Gold underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left triangle muscle.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

The remainder of the meeting was delayed due to fog resulting in poor visibility.

Zipping Kay was slow to begin.  Lucky Lulu, Delancy Bale and Xericom Bale collided approaching the first turn.  Mindil Beach and Mostro Rocks collided on the first turn checking Mindil Beach.  Lucky Lulu was checked off Xericom Bale approaching the home turn severely checking Lucky Lulu and Delancy Bale.

Quick Paws was quick to begin.  My Gem was slow to begin.  White Cynder, Gotham Duchess, Flashy De Goey and Burning Mountain collided soon after the start checking Gotham Duchess.  Gotham Duchess visibly eased and turned its head in the home straight.

Gotham Duchess underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. M. Lithgow the representative for Gotham Duchess regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Gotham Duchess was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mrs. Lithgow     pleaded guilty to the charge, Gotham Duchess is suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69 (A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Aston Onyx.

This event was abandoned at 11.06pm due to heavy fog.

As this event was the last leg in a series of heats, a public random ballot was conducted by Stewards in accordance with GAR 57 (2)(b), to determine the greyhounds which shall be eligible to participate in the final.

The successful greyhounds were Sudden Force (6) & Baby Pechey (3).

The random ballot was witnessed by participants in this event.
