Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Boes Bounty and Chattering Teeth collided soon after the start.  Dami Jack and Atlantic Lady collided at the 250m mark.  King Brown and Red Hot Lady collided approaching the 200m mark and again approaching the winning post. 

Atlantic Lady underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a split webbing to the right hind paw.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Now And Then and Petra Bale were slow to begin.

Now And Then underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left deltoid injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Trainer, Ms C. McMillan, after Stewards were advised by two separate Club Officials today and over recent weeks of the aggression of Tinker Bess in the catching pen. Stewards will attend the catching pen and monitor the greyhound at future events.

Matilda Mikado - Late scratching at 10.10am on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to illness.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Crowdza Starring – New declared weight of 33.0kg, last raced at 34.4kg.

Stewards questioned Trainer, Darren Petersen, regarding the number of starts Kiwi Swagger has had over recent days given the form of the greyhound.  Mr Petersen told Stewards he had been satisfied with the performance of Kiwi Swagger, however, the greyhound received numerous checks in running at its previous two starts.  He also told Stewards that he has been unable to gain a start with his preferred nominations.  Stewards advised Mr Petersen that they will be monitoring the wellbeing and future nominations for this greyhound.

Big Flash Marjen and Crowdza Starring collided at the 300m mark.  Big Flash Marjen and Jeda's Girl collided at the 250m mark.  Crowdza Starring checked off Big Flash Marjen at the 250m mark.

Atarah and All Inn Ava collided soon after the start.  Mumma's Bear and Atarah collided soon after the start.  Atarah and Lemonade Kid collided at the 275m mark.  Aston Meilleur and Lemonade Kid collided at the 250m mark.

Spot On Mick went up with the lids and was slow to begin.

Prince Archer and Sonic Sensation collided at the 250m mark.  Stigmatize and Wonderful World collided at the 150m mark and again at the 100m mark.  Big Little Sis and Prince Archer collided at the 50m mark and several times approaching the winning post.  Big Little Sis visibly eased approaching the winning post.

Big Little Sis underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to both tricep muscles.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Geoffrey Fisher, the representative of Big Little Sis regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Big Little Sis was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr Fisher pleaded not guilty to the charge, Big Little Sis was found guilty and suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Superior Cripps was slow to begin.

Harston Flare and Lily's Lad collided soon after the start.  Red Wine Fever checked off Tyson's Tiger at the 200m mark.  Tyson's Tiger and Split Pea collided at the 100m mark.  Red Wine Fever and Superior Cripps collided at the 100m mark.

Master Faith – New declared weight of 32.8kg, last raced at 31.4kg.
