A pre-race sample was taken from Zipping Lach.
Mercy Mercy was quick to begin.
Ted's Dream, Zipping Lach, Zipping Luther and Rampant Loch collided soon after the start. Benchester and Zita collided on the first turn. Rampant Loch galloped on the heels of Ted's Dream approaching the home turn. Zipping Lach and Mercy Mercy collided approaching the home turn. Ted's Dream raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.
Flaming Knocka underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the upper left shoulder and neck. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Mercy Mercy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.
