Scarred Warrior and Mr. Coconut collided soon after the start.  Whispy Bale checked off Triskelion on the first turn.  Mr. Coconut, Mac's Secret and Limburg Nemesis collided on the first turn checking Mac's Secret, Limburg Nemesis, Sheer Bliss and Whispy Bale; causing Whispy Bale and Sheer Bliss to race wide.  Scarred Warrior and Triskelion collided on the first turn.  Scarred Warrior and Limburg Nemesis collided on the second turn.  Mac's Secret checked off Limburg Nemesis on the third turn.

Dorellie Love and Class Edge collided soon after the start checking Class Edge.  Rik Lee and Bisenti collided on the first turn.  Rik Lee and Ask Yourself collided on the second turn checking Rik Lee, Ask Yourself and Dorellie Love.  Rik Lee and Ragnar Bale collided on the third turn checking Rik Lee.  Class Edge checked off Rik Lee approaching the fourth turn checking Dorellie Love.

Sam's Spolly and Debbie's Destiny collided soon after the start checking Debbie's Destiny and Bobby Lava.  Bobby Lava and Wicked Reason collided on the first turn checking Wicked Reason.  Bobby Lava and Wicked Reason collided on the home turn.

Unbuckled was very slow to begin (1 length).

Patrick Francis checked off Rico's Amore approaching the third turn.  Patrick Francis and Mitch Bale collided approaching the winning post.

Blue Shadows was slow to begin.

South Of Eden, Extreme Justice and Blue Shadows collided on the first turn severely checking Blue Shadow.  Extreme Justice checked off Sunny's Kayo on the fourth turn.

Speed Star Exhibition Trial

A pre-sample was taken from Sennachie in accordance with GAR 79 (1), having presented for an exhibition trial.

Sennachie - Performed an exhibition trial over 515m from box 3, weighing 33.6kg in a time of split 1, 5.02 split 2, 18.64 and an overall time 29.245.

Mr Aaron Farley failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Zipping Hazel for racing.  Mr Farley was fined $100 pursuant to GAR 46 (2).

Why Not Pockets was slow to begin.

Zipping Hazel and Venus Allen collided soon after the start.  Suvla Bay checked off Maina Honey approaching the first turn.  Why Not Pockets and Pietra Allen collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Zipping Hazel and Venus Allen collided approaching the winning post.

Speed Star Exhibition Trial

Razor's Edge - Performed an exhibition trial over 515m from box 1, weighing 33.0kg in a time of split 1, 5.15 split 2, 18.82 and an overall time 29.351.

Flossy Lee was slow to begin.

Flossy Lee and Kilpatrick collided soon after the start.  Ivey's Affair and Why Not Kez collided on the first turn.  Lulumon, Meehan Poppy and Double 'Em Up collided on the first turn severely checking Lulumon.  Why Not Kez checked off Kilpatrick in the back straight.

Classy Aussie, Loch Tight and Saetta were quick to begin.

Olson Bale, Classy Aussie and Hadeel Bale collided on the first turn.  Ebonique, Loch Tight and Golden Years collided on the first turn severely checking Ebonique and Golden Years.  Olson Bale, Classy Aussie and Hadeel Bale collided on the second turn checking Hadeel Bale.

Golden Years underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Gloria Bale – Late scratching at 9:00am due to illness (GAR 23).  Stewards questioned Trainer, Mr Correy Grenfell on-course regarding the late withdrawal of Gloria Bale. Mr Grenfell stated that when preparing his greyhounds for transportation to Sandown Park he noticed the greyhound had swelling to its face and therefore suspected an infection.. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Shifting Sands and Chasing Beers were quick to begin.

Lara Tara and Liam Roxon collided soon after the start.  Chasing Beers and Angie Ling collided approaching the second turn checking Angie Ling.

Blue Fabianna checked off Sisco Bella approaching the first turn.  Meehan Bazz, Sisco Bella and So Amazing collided on the first turn checking Sisco Bella.  Noosa Parade and Blue Fabianna collided on the first turn.
