Steward's Report

Gloria Bale – Late scratching at 9:00am due to illness (GAR 23). Stewards questioned Trainer, Mr Correy Grenfell on-course regarding the late withdrawal of Gloria Bale. Mr Grenfell stated that when preparing his greyhounds for transportation to Sandown Park he noticed the greyhound had swelling to its face and therefore suspected an infection.. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Shifting Sands and Chasing Beers were quick to begin.

Lara Tara and Liam Roxon collided soon after the start. Chasing Beers and Angie Ling collided approaching the second turn checking Angie Ling.
