Montey Jack, Tinker Chuck and Hardaway George collided several times from the 250m mark to the 150m mark checking all three greyhounds. Prima Mikado crossed to the rail at the 100m mark checking Eastside. Montey Jack and Tinker Chuck collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to licensed Catcher, Ms Yvette Howard, after it was reported that Ms Howard was walking Hardaway George (trained by Mr Gary Edwards) towards the back of the parameters of the kennel block as if it was her intention to re-kennel the greyhound following the event.  Ms Howard advised that she was well aware of her restrictions as a licensed Catcher and that she handed the greyhound over to Mr Greg Paez who was representing Mr Edwards for this event.  Stewards fully accepted Ms Howard's explanation.

Magpie Robbie was slow to begin.

So Like Sooty crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Secret Package, Elegant Malt, Close To Carnage and Alfie Mikado. Secret Package and Elegant Malt collided at the 250m mark and again at the 200m mark. So Like Sooty faltered at the 50m mark and lost ground.

So Like Sooty underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right monkey muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Zipping Cesar and Tigga Toy collided approaching the 250m mark and again approaching the 200m mark. Tigga Toy and Bloke's Advice collided at the 150m mark. Bloke's Advice checked off Superior Bont approaching the 50m mark. Zipping Cesar, Tigga Toy and Superior Bont collided at the 50m mark. Zipping Cesar and Superior Bont collided approaching the winning post. 

Zipping Cesar underwent a post-race veterinary examination following an incident in the catching pen and was found to have a laceration to the right hock. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Zipping Benny and Inter Phillip collided at the 300m mark. Temporalis and Early Special collided several times approaching the 200m mark to the 150m mark checking Early Special. Challis Sprite and Lucky Paws collided at the 150m mark. Lucky Paws and Lochinvar Deus collided at the 100m mark.

Having Words was slow to begin.

Fairy Vixen and Midnight Tess collided soon after the start. Hopeful, Joe's Dolly and Fairy Vixen collided 300m mark. Having Words and Rurik collided at the 250m mark checking Rurik. 

Rurik underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right wrist and right deltiod muscles. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr J. Hetherton was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Qatar Girl pursuant to GAR 33.

Don's Just Under, Underworld Rama and Broadway Polka were slow to begin.

Dan's Hopeful was slow to begin. 

Dan's Hopeful, Fruit Frames and Mumma's Bear collided soon after the start. North Wind crossed to the inside soon after the start and collided with Superstar Jessie, Madonya, Mumma's Bear, Fruit Frames and Dan's Hopeful. Fruit Frames and Mumma's Bear collided approaching the 250m mark. Aladdin Prince and Dan's Hopeful collided at the 250m mark. Madonya and Spritely Too collided at the 200m mark. Aladdin Prince, Dan's Hopeful, Mumma's Bear and Superstar Jessie collided approaching the 150m mark severely checking Dan's Hopeful and Mumma's Bear. Aladdin Prince and Superstar Jessie collided approaching the winning post.

Supraspinatus – Late scratching at 4.21pm when Ms K. Tabb reported the greyhound to have diahorrea (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Two Seasons, Rapid Rock, Chardy and Galo's Best collided soon after the start. Rapid rock checked off Chardy at the 150m mark.

Black Eclipse underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right monkey muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Meeting Comments

The following greyhounds performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial – The trial took place over 350m with four required to trial. The winning time of trial was 19.65:

Yogi Mikado finished first, Kip Your Star finished fourth and Stella View finished third.  

Yogi Mikado – Was stood down from racing at Sandown for marring. Weighing 34.1kgs and beginning from box 3 winning by 4 lengths. Yogi Mikado has been cleared to race at Healesville. Yogi Mikado was cleared to race in Blinkers.

Kip Your Star – Was stood down from racing at Healesville (19/5/19) and Warragul (7/7/19) for failing to pursue the lure. Weighing 34.7 kgs and beginning from box 6 beaten by 6.75 lengths. Kip Your Star has been cleared to race at all tracks except Warragu.  Kip Your Star has also been cleared to race in Blinkers.
