Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 104(6) Starter Miss O. Cartechini did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.
Flashy De Goey and Cyclone Rhonda were quick to begin. Timmy Tunga was slow to begin.
Still Rockin' and Mad Eye Madam collided soon after the start. Akina Ivy crossed out on the first turn severely checking Still Rockin' and Timmy Tung and causing Mad Eye Madam to fall; Akina Ivy, Still Rockin' and Timmy Tunga raced wide and lost ground as a result. Flashy De Goey and Cyclone Rhonda collided on the second turn checking Cyclone Rhonda.
Immediately following this event, Stewards announced to hold all tickets due to Mad Eye Madam falling on the first turn and proceeding to run back in the opposite direction and meeting the oncoming greyhound’s half-way down the home straight, over the concluding stages of the event. After viewing all available official race vision, and acting on their live observations, Stewards were satisfied that the incident had no effect on the outcome and placings for the event and announced All Clear on the numbers 2/ 5/ 3/ 8.
Mad Eye Madam underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right shoulder injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
