Miss Toy went up with the lids and was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Rocketing Ruby and Black Sombrero were slow to begin.

Dyna Wink and Dewana Be Sure collided approaching the first turn. Dewana Be Sure checked off Maximum Tiff approaching the first turn checking Dyna Wink and Rocketing Ruby. Rocketing Ruby and Miss Toy collided on the third turn. Dyna Wink checked off Black Sombrero entering the home straight. Dyna Wink and Black Sombrero collided approaching the winning post.

Rocketing Ruby underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to a left chest muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
