Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to trainer ,Mr J.Burrow (Good Yarn) regarding the number of starts the greyhound has had between 7/7/2019 and 18/7/2019 (12 days - 4 starts). Mr .Burrow explained that the greyhound was lightly exercised between race starts and in his opinion is fit for racing. Mr Burrow also explained that Good Yarn was dropping back in distance from 600mtrs. to 450mtrs.
A pre race sample was taken from Cawbourne Dolly.
Ledgerwood Molly and Kalani Willow were quick to begin.
Verev, Redcliff Rebel and Cawbourne Dolly collided approaching the first turn checking Redcliff Rebel. Redcliff Rebel checked off Ledgerwood Molly on the first turn. Redcliff Rebel checked off I'm Circus in the home straight. Good Yarn raced wide approaching the home turn and again in the home straight.
Good Yarn which trailled the field throughout underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left hindleg quadricep. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
