Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Severus Grange.
Tashendo was quick to begin.
Severus Grange, Kirabilli Poppy, Paid Too Much and Striking Gold collided approaching the first turn checking Kirabilli Poppy and Striking Gold. Paid Too Much, Pyrenees Inferno and Striking Gold collided on the first turn checking Striking Gold. Tashendo and Severus Grange raced wide on the home turn. Severus Grange and Pyrenees Classic collided in the home straight. Super Baroque turned its head in the home straight and approaching the winning post.
Super Baroque underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Handler, Ms Amy Ryan of Super Baroque regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Super Baroque was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Ryan pleaded guilty to the charge, Super Baroque is suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Satisfactory Trials:
The following greyhounds performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial – The trial took place over 390m with number of 4 greyhounds required to trial. The winning time of trial was 22.64.
Hounding Me finished 4th, Octo Flash finished 2nd, Mic Drop finished 1st.
Hounding Me – Was stood down from racing at Ballarat for cramping. Weighing 29.3kgs and beginning from box 1 beaten by 10.5L. Hounding Me has been cleared to race at all tracks.
Octo Flash – Was stood down from racing at Mt Gambier for marring. Weighing 27.5kgs and beginning from box 2 beaten by 7L. Octo Flash has been cleared to race at all tracks except Mt Gambier.
Mic Drop – Was stood down from racing at Ballarat for fail to chase with injury. Weighing 34.1kgs and beginning from box 3 winning by 7L. Mic Drop has been cleared to race at all except Ballarat.
