Driving Me Nuts underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler Mr S Brincat, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Driving Me Nuts was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Brincat pleaded guilty to the charge, Driving Me Nuts must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stacey Keeping, Sports Gairn, Pyrenees Petraca and Azure Dragon collided on the first turn, severely checking Azure Dragon and Sports Gairn; both greyhounds stumbled as a result. Topaz Warrior and Pyrenees Petraca collided approaching the home turn checking Pyrenees Petraca. Pillar Creek checked off Pyrenees Petraca on the home turn checking Azure Dragon. Stacey Keeping and Weasley Grange collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight.

Sports Gairn underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to havea left quadriceps muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

The stewards spoke to trainer Mr John Rennie in relation to the non arrival of Leeroy Rox and subsequent late scratching. Mr Rennie claimed that he had scratched the greyhound prior to the offical scratching time by phone however no record of this conversation could be found. Taking into account Mr Rennie's evidence, Stewards did not impose a fine on this occasion, however Leeroy Rox was stood down from racing for 28 days. 

Inga Tom and Awesome Freckles collided soon after the start checking Awesome Freckles. Inga Tom raced wide approaching the first turn checking Charlotte Allen. Inga Tom, Smash Flash and Honestly Bob collided on the first turn checking Lock Pepper and Charlotte Allen and severely checking Inga Tom and Honestly Bob. Lock Pepper checked off Smash Flash approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Handler, Ms Amy Ryan of Super Baroque regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Super Baroque was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Ryan pleaded guilty to the charge, Super Baroque is suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Satisfactory Trials:

The following greyhounds performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial – The trial took place over 390m with number of 4 greyhounds required to trial. The winning time of trial was 22.64.

Hounding Me finished 4th, Octo Flash finished 2nd, Mic Drop finished 1st.

Hounding Me – Was stood down from racing at Ballarat for cramping. Weighing 29.3kgs and beginning from box 1 beaten by 10.5L. Hounding Me has been cleared to race at all tracks.

Octo Flash – Was stood down from racing at Mt Gambier for marring. Weighing 27.5kgs and beginning from box 2 beaten by 7L. Octo Flash has been cleared to race at all tracks except Mt Gambier.

Mic Drop – Was stood down from racing at Ballarat for fail to chase with injury. Weighing 34.1kgs and beginning from box 3 winning by 7L. Mic Drop has been cleared to race at all except Ballarat.
