Tilly Lee and Pranjip Comet collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Tilly Lee checked off My Name's George approaching the 300m mark. My Name's George and Pranjip Comet collided several times from the 300m mark to the 250m mark. Go Shirvo Go and No Recourse raced tight and collided several times from the 250m mark to approaching the 150m mark. No Recourse turned its head at the 100m mark and collided with Go Shirvo Go. Magpie Robbie, My Name's George and Pranjip Comet collided at the 100m mark. Magpie Robbie and My Name's George collided approaching the winning post.
Magpie Robbie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
No Recourse underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr C. Russell, the handler of No Recourse regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 100m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1) No Recourse was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Russell pleaded guilty to the charge. No Recourse must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
