A pre-race sample was taken from David's Way.
Level Neville and Cullquin Bronn were slow to begin. Level Neville and Wayne's Way collided on the first turn, checking Level Neville. Level Neville and Cullquin Bronn collided approaching the home turn, checking Level Neville. Twilight Connie eased approaching the winning post.
Twilight Connie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 5 and was found to have a left pencil muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler Mr T.VanTaarling, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Twilight Connie was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr VanTaarling pleaded guilty to the charge, Twilight Connie must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
