Steward's Report

New Wave stumbled at box rise.  Serendipity Man and Vandebay collided soon after the start checking Serendipity Man.  Serendipity Gold crossed to the outside approaching the 300m mark checking Aston Jewel.  Aston Jewel and Vandebay collided at the 250m mark.  Murrabit Benny and Miss Ledekey collided several times from 150m mark to the winning post.  Aston Jewel and Vandebay collided at the 100m mark.  Miss Ledekey eased and failed to pursue the lure approaching the winning post.

Serendipity Man underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.

Miss Ledekey underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a sand toe to the right hind paw, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Calven Russell, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Miss Ledekey was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Russell pleaded guilty to the charge, Miss Ledekey must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
