Magic Will, Lonesomeness and Inga Ross collided soon after the start. Magic Will and Lonesomeness collided approaching the first turn. Magic Will lost ground in the back straight. Lonesomeness and Ellie Wires collided on the second turn. Pyrenees Steele and Inga Ross collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Magic Will and Inga Ross collided entering the home straight. Magic Will and Pyrenees Steele collided approaching the winning post.
Magic Will underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey musclke injury and right quadriceps injury A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr M Marshall the trainer of Magic Will regarding its performance in the back straight. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Magic Will must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
