Lucky Gypsy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Jack pleaded not guilty to the charge, Lucky Gypsy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Spring Kissed – New declared weight of 26.8kgs, last raced at 28.3kgs due to change of kennel.

Aston Lily – Late scratching at 2.57pm due to the greyhound not being presented in the required kennelling time (GAR 31), due to the trainer's extenuating circumstances. Trainer Mr D Hogan was fined $100.

Weighing 32.7kgs and beginning from box 3 Bastian Bale completed the 390m trial distance in a time of 23.17 Bastian Bale placed 2nd in a field of 4 of starters beaten by 0.75L.
