Steward's Report

A pre-race sample was taken from Toonang.

Sweet Ambush, Down Mexico Way and Sweet Strike collided soon after the start. Toonang, Ninetymile Hawk, Aston Xanadu, Sweet Ambush and Down Mexico Way collided at the 300m mark checking Ninetymile Hawk. Ninetymile Hawk faltered at the 150m mark and lost ground as a result. Aston Jewel checked off Toonang at the 100m mark.

Ninetymile Hawk underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hip injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
