Steward's Report
Last Outlaw was slow to begin.
Subscapularis crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Pop Do It, Oshkosh Jay and Renegade. Crash Reality and Oshkosh Jay collided at the 200m mark. Black Pocket and Crash Reality collided at the 150m mark. Oshkosh Jay and Last Outlaw collided at the 150m mark. Last Outlaw collided with Early Express several times from the 150m mark to the 100m mark, Last Outlaw failed to pursue the lure with due commitment. Black Pocket checked off Last Outlaw at the 100m mark causing Black Pocket to stumble as a result.
Last Outlaw underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right monkey muscle and a right spike wound injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler, Mr G. Maxwell, regarding the greyhounds racing manners from the 150m mark to the 100m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Last Outlaw was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Maxwell pleaded guilty to the charge, Last Outlaw must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
