Soda Flash and Murrabit Benny were slow to begin.
Dee Dee One, Early Storm and Bugs Boloney collided at the 300m mark. Bugs Boloney and Calcaneal collided at the 300m mark. Dee Dee One, Early Storm and Calcaneal collided from the 250m mark to the 150m mark. Eau Rouge and Murrabit Benny collided at the 150m mark. Dee Dee One and Bugs Boloney collided at the 150m mark. Eau Rouge and Murrabit Benny collided at the 50m mark and again approaching the winning post.
Eau Rouge underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr M. Johnson, the handler of Eau Rouge regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 200m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Eau Rouge was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Johnson pleaded guilty to the charge, Eau Rouge is suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
