Yardbird was slow to begin. Smokin' Sally was very slow to begin (5 lengths). Yardbird, Belron Bingle and All Wired Up collided soon after the start checking Belron Bingle. All Wired Up crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Yardbird and Sienna Rose. Dewana Savanna and All Wired Up collided on the first turn causing Yardbird to check off All Wired Up. Sienna Rose and Yardbird collided approaching the second turn checking  Yardbird. Yardbird checked off Token Vapour in the back straight. Yardbird and Smokin' Sally collided entering the home straight. Sienna Rose, Yardbird and Belron Bingle collided approaching the winning post.

Destiny Stone was slow to begin. Private Moler and Chapardeur collided approaching the first turn checking Chapardeur. Yabba Dabba Dee checked off Chapardeur approaching the first turn. Carr's Collide and Private Moler collided on the first turn. Yabba Dabba Dee and Chapardeur collided on the first turn. Yabba Dabba Dee checked off Destiny Stone approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight. Chapardeur raced wide in the home straight.
Following the running of this event the Judges semaphored the placings as 7-1-6-5, which was correct. However before displaying the all clear on the semaphore board the judges mistakenly displayed the placings as 7-1-6-4 with the all clear appearing for approximately 1 minute until stewards advised them of their error, then the correct numbers 7-1-6-5 were posted with the all clear then given to the TAB and displayed on the semaphore board.
Stewards reminded the judges(A.Hawkswell and B.Johns) of their responsibilities and that more care is taken in ensuring that the correct numbers are semaphored before displaying the all clear.

Cheap Chains, Rockstar Ben and Leaf Cutter were slow to begin. Flameless crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Cheap Chains, Ragtime Adrian, Rockstar Ben and Hill Billy Thyme. Leaf Cutter and Hairy Garry collided soon after the start. Flameless, Hill Billy Thyme and Hairy Garry collided approaching the first turn checking Hill Billy Thyme, Ragtime Adrian, Hairy Garry and severely checking Leaf Cutter. Rockstar Ben checked off Hairy Garry approaching the home turn. Ragtime Adrian and Rockstar Ben collided on the home turn checking Leaf Cutter.

Sarah's Baby and Cruising Cooper collided entering the front straight checking Sarah's Baby. Sarah's Baby and White Sugar collided on the third turn. Sarah's Baby and Hungry Thirsty collided on the third turn.
Sarah's Baby was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.
Let's Go Tenby was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hock injury, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

This event was hand timed at 42.00 due to a malfunction with the timing system.

Optimistic Star and Glenavon Robin were slow to begin. Optimistic Star checked off Lollipop Bling approaching the first turn. Seven Degrees checked off My Lucky Fortune approaching the first turn checking My Lucky Fortune. Jaded Sandy, My Lucky Fortune, Optimistic Star and Seven Degrees collided on the first turn. Lollipop Bling raced wide in the back straight. My Lucky Fortune and Kat Attack collided on the third turn checking My Lucky Fortune. Teena's Rule and Kat Attack collided entering the home straight.

Cuzzen Bouldy was slow to begin. Van Der Vaat checked off Where's Darryl approaching the first turn. Cuzzen Bouldy and Noaki Hurricane collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Master Mike and Aragorn collided approaching the third turn. Master Mike and Noaki Spitfire collided on the third turn checking Noaki Spitfire.  Van Der Vaat and Noaki Hurricane collided on the third turn. Cuzzen Bouldy checked off Van Der Vaat approaching the home turn. Where's Darryl, Master Mike an Noaki Spitfire collided on the home turn checking Where's Darryl, Master Mike and Van Der Vaat.
