Yardbird was slow to begin. Smokin' Sally was very slow to begin (5 lengths). Yardbird, Belron Bingle and All Wired Up collided soon after the start checking Belron Bingle. All Wired Up crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Yardbird and Sienna Rose. Dewana Savanna and All Wired Up collided on the first turn causing Yardbird to check off All Wired Up. Sienna Rose and Yardbird collided approaching the second turn checking Yardbird. Yardbird checked off Token Vapour in the back straight. Yardbird and Smokin' Sally collided entering the home straight. Sienna Rose, Yardbird and Belron Bingle collided approaching the winning post.
