Steward's Report
Spirit Bar and Neb's Horse was quick to begin.
Urban Ruler and Steve's Uggboot collided soon after the start checking Urban Ruler. Steve's Uggboot and Spring Kitty collided approaching the first turn. Tiggerlong Ray and Rapid Rock collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Rapana checked off Spring Kitty approaching the home turn and lost considerable ground. Neb's Horse and Steve's Uggboot collided on the home turn.
Rapana underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury and a right hip injury. A 14 stand down period was imposed.
Satisfactory Trials:
Miss Travers – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at the Ballarat meeting on 1st April 2019 for Marring. Weighing 27.3kgs and beginning from box 1, Miss Travers completed the 450m trial distance in a time of 25.54. Miss Travers placed 3rd in a field of 4 of starters beaten by 8L. Miss Travers has been cleared to race at all tracks.
