Crymelon Tess was quick to begin. Hornet Hudson and New Wave were slow to begin.
Hornet Hudson and New Wave collided soon after the start. Hungry Grub crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Maximum Lisa, Fabamena and Refueled. Maximum Lisa contacted the running rail approaching the home turn and lost ground. Crymelon Tess raced wide on the home turn checking Kathleen's Kiss.
