Steward's Report
Black Beauty was quick to begin. Miss Zok Dee and Stylish Missile were slow to begin.
Hedonistic and Black Beauty collided soon after the start. Hedonistic checked off Miss Zok Dee on the first turn. Cumberland Jet and Miss Zok Dee collided on the first turn checking Miss Zok Dee. Impending and Sticka Fantasy collided approaching the second turn. Stylish Missile and Miss Zok Dee raced wide in the back straight. Cumberland Jet lost ground over the concluding stages of the event.
Cumberland Jet underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was then re-examined following race 8. Cumberland Jet was found to have a right hind sartorius injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Trevor Whitford, the Trainer of Cumberland Jet regarding the performance of the greyhound. Mr Whitford stated that he was trying the greyhound over a longer distance and believed after today's run it would be better suited to a shorter distance in future.
