Akina Archer and Bruce's Back were slow to begin.
Dreamliner, Akina Archer and Muza's Magic collided soon after the start. Blondie Locks checked off Bruce's Back on the first turn, checking Jaguar Jessie. Dreamliner, Jaguar Jessie, Akina Archer, Muza's Magic and Blondie Locks collided on the first turn, checking Blondie Locks. Dreamliner crossed to the outside approaching the home turn, checking Jaguar Jessie. Dreamliner and Akina Archer collided approaching the home turn. Jaguar Jessie, Dreamliner, Akina Archer and Muza's Magic raced wide entering the home straight. Dreamliner and Jaguar Jessie collided in the home straight. Jaguar Jessie eased in the home straight, checking Dreamliner and Akina Archer and causing Muza's Magic to race wide.
Jaguar Jessie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-vetted following race five. Jaguar Jessie was found to have an injury to the right triangle muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr David McKenzie, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Jaguar Jessie was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr McKenzie pleaded not guilty to the charge, Jaguar Jessie was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
