A pre race sample was taken from Shultz's A Rebel.
Steorra crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Big Cam, Dee Nine and Zipping Chance. Big Cam checked off Dee Nine approaching the first turn. Zipping Chance galloped on the heels of Pyrenees Classic on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Pectoralis galloped on the heels of Hawkie on the first turn checking Dee Nine, Zipping Chance and Pyrenees Classic, and severely checking Pectoralis and Hawkie. Hawkie and Pyrenees Classic collided approaching the home turn checking Hawkie. Dee Nine and Pyrenees Classic raced wide in the home straight.
