Simon Payne, representative of Diesel's A Rebel declared a new weight of 35.4kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Diesel's A Rebel last raced at 33.9kg.

Stewards spoke to Mr A. Mcdowall, the handler of the greyhound Cooper Dan, regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Cooper Dan was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to left and right monkey muscles and a cervico-thoracic injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Cooper Dan with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr A. Mcdowall pleaded guilty to the charge, Cooper Dan was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Krabi was quick to begin. 

Why Not Macca shifted in soon after the start, checking Renaldo and Gojek. Piriformis checked off Why Not Macca on the first turn. Ninety Proof galloped on the heels of Destini Cowboy in the first turn checking both greyhounds. Renaldo checked off Krabi in the home straight. Gojek and Destini Cowboy collided approaching the winning post.

Kraken Witch, Pyrenees Petraca and Tiggerlong Ray collided approaching the first turn. Why Not Kez, Kylo Ren and Fernando's Flare collided on the first turn, checking Kylo Ren. Kylo Ren and Pyrenees Petraca collided approaching the home turn. Tiggerlong Ray, Why Not Kez and Blackhawk Parker raced wide on the home turn. Stewards spoke to Mr H. Taylor, the handler of the greyhound Knock The Clock.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

Myrtle Grange was a late scratching at 4.58pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Chief Command was a late scratching at 5.20pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Simon Payne was fined the sum of $100.
