Claretown Tex went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin as a result.

Fiery Fox was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Pitt Street and Black Nikki collided soon after the start. Cyclone Polly, Lucy Norris, Hostile and Garga Mill collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking Hostile, Garga Mill, Pitt Street, Black Nikki and Blue Winter and severely checking Cyclone Polly and Lucy Norris.

Cyclone Polly was vetted following the event and revetted following race 7.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left stopper and soreness to the right groin,  a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Lucy Norris was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the right shoulder, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Century Time and Hudson Monza collided soon after the start, checking Century Time. Century Time, Hudson Monza and Kooper's Crown collided on the first turn, checking Hudson Monza.
