Cosmic Pilot and Slick Mix were slow to begin. Parwan Girl crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Dozer Man and Black Leveque. Parwan Girl crossed to the rail at the 300 metre mark checking Flywheel Special, Cosmic Pilot and Dozer Man. Runaway Chase raced wide until the 200 metre mark. Black Leveque raced wide from the 200 metre mark until the winning post. Parwan Girl checked off Flywheel Special at the 100 metre mark checking Cosmic Pilot.
