Steward's Report
Little Gypsy was a late scratching at 6.11pm by order of Stewards. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Carr the trainer of Little Gypsy and charged him Pursuant to GAR 31(1) in that he presented the incorrect greyhound at kennelling. In assessing penalty Stewards took into account Mr. Carr's previous history in relation to this offence. Mr. Carr subsequently pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined the sum of $300.
Why Not Gold and Arvo's Maya were slow to begin. Peregrin Stealth, Ruthless Girl, Prince Nitro and Last Boy Scout collided soon after the start checking Ruthless Girl and Prince Nitro. Prince Nitro was checked off Rinash on the first turn checking Last Boy Scout and causing Prince Nitro to galloped on Last Boy Scout subsequently checking Ruthless Girl. Ruthless Girl and Why Not Gold collided approaching the home turn and again approaching the winning post.
