A pre-race sample was taken from Woody's My Name upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

A pre-race sample was taken from Nukem. 

Galloping Bluboy was slow to begin.  Nukem crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Romany Girl and Split Pea.  Woody's My Name eased on the first turn checking Yuken Pay Me.  Galloping Bluboy and Nukem collided on the first turn.  Woody's My Name eased on the home turn checking Yuken Pay Me, Romany Girl and Galloping Bluboy.  Lexi Cristalle and Woody's My Name collided in the home straight.  Woody's My Name eased approaching the winning post checking Lexi Cristalle, Romany Girl and Split Pea and severely checking Yuken Pay Me.

The all clear for this event was delayed to allow the Stewards to view the video replay after the position of the lure became closer than the required distance on the first turn. Stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that the outcome of the event was affected and announced all clear. 

Woody's My Name was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hind leg, no stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Robert Moles, the trainer of Woody's My Name regarding the greyhound's performance during the event. Mr Moles stated that in his opinion the greyhound eased on the first turn due to the position of the lure. Steward's took Mr Moles' submission into consideration and accepted that the greyhound may have eased on the first turn as a result of the position of the lure, however taking into consideration that the greyhound eased on two subsequent occasions directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 71. 

Stewards spoke to the lure driver following the event who stated that there was a delayed response with the lure resulting in the leading greyhound being to close to the lure on the first turn.  GRV has took immediate action to rectify the fault.
