Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Kyriacopoulos the trainer of Ayia Sophia regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Ayia Sophia last raced on 29/07/18.  Mr. Kyriacopoulos stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after having a right hind toe removed.

Blue Suede Shoes was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Hurricane Cindy was very slow to begin (4 lengths).  Vineyard and New Sense collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking New Sense.  New Sense, Egoline Zeb and Blue Suede Shoes collided on the first turn checking New Sense and severely checking Blue Suede Shoes and Egoline Zeb.  Egoline Zeb and Hurricane Cindy collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Ramble Tamble was slow to begin.  Zipping Chantal was checked off Romany Girl soon after the start.  Pinky Tuscadero, Kukudio and Valar Morghulis collided approaching the first turn checking Valar Morghulis.  Crackerjack Man and Pinky Tuscadero collided approaching the first turn checking Crackerjack Man.  Pinky Tuscadero was checked off Kukudio on the first turn.  Pinky Tuscadero and Ramble Tamble collided on the home turn and again approaching the winning post.

Fifty Dollar and Lilty Allen collided soon after the start.  Jonny Bravo and Fifty Dollar collided on the first turn checking Jonny Bravo.  Fifty Dollar and Temujin collided on the first turn checking Lilty Allen and severely checking Temujin which stumbled and lost considerable ground, Jonny Bravo was checked as a result.

Temujin was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right triangle muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Adala Prince and Apila Cash were slow to begin.  No Passengers and Miss Pepperoni collided approaching the first turn checking No Passengers.  Miss Pepperoni was checked off Gee Dalton approaching the first turn.  Apila Cash and Weeona Annie collided on the first turn checking Adala Prince and Miss Pepperoni, severely checking Weeona Annie and Becket causing Becket to fall.  Apila Cash was checked off No Passengers entering the home straight checking Brindle Ninja and Adala Prince.

Becket was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right radius/ulna and was humanely euthanased.

Philo Bale and Keno Bale were slow to begin.  Philo Bale, Zoenah's Legacy, Sports Knight and Keno Bale collided on the first turn.  Knew It and Supa Shalala collided in the home straight.

Red Queen was quick to begin.  Just Jimmy, Zipping Nicole and Why Not Senor collided soon after the start.  Courage Crest and Just Jimmy collided approaching the first turn.  Courage Crest, Just Jimmy, Zipping Nicole and Why Not Senor collided on the first turn.

Why Not Senor was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left calf, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Slick Diamond was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left elbow, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Lektra Miss upon arrival on course, prior to kennelling.

Mini Tron, Zefron and Fallen Star collided soon after the start checking Fallen Star.  Holyfield was checked off Mini Tron approaching the first turn.  Zefron, Heard It Before and Lektra Miss collided on the first turn checking Heard It Before, Lektra Miss, Fallen Star and Lucky Omar, Lucky Omar raced wide as a result.  Mini Tron and Iggy Wiggy collided entering the home straight.  Fallen Star raced wide in the home straight.

Hail Galo Girl trialled over 400 metres from box 3, weight 28.5kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.49 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5.75 lengths.  Hail Galo Girl was cleared

Alberto trialled over 400 metres from box 8, weight 30.3kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.49 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 1.25 lengths.  Alberto was cleared.

McMahon the trainer of the greyhound Payton regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Payton last raced on 03/05/18.  Mr. McMahon stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a seasonal spell.  Payton trialled over 400 metres from box 1, weight 26.8kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.49 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.25 lengths.  Payton was cleared.
