Scooter eased approaching the first turn. Scooter and Shanlyn Shiraz collided on the first turn. Campbell Rose raced wide on the first turn. Scooter and Campbell Rose collided on the home turn. Got No Issues checked off Shanlyn Shiraz on the home turn. 

Scooter was vetted and re-vetted following race 5. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.

Stewards spoke to Mr Garry Condon, the representative for the greyhound Scooter regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Scooter with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Condon pleaded not guilty to the charge, Scooter was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A sample was taken from Shanlyn Shiraz, the winner of the event. 

Iona Roby was a late scratching at 6:15pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr Garry Condon was fined the sum of $100.

A pre- race sample was taken from Raven Rich.

Butter Chicken and Emma's Blue Wren were quick to begin.

Splish Splash, Butter Chicken, Raven Rich, Thumbs and Emma's Blue Wren collided soon after the start, checking Splish Splash and Raven Rich; Splish Splash contacted the running rail as a result. Splish Splash and Raven Rich collided on the first turn, checking Splish Splash. Thumbs and Emma's Blue Wren collided on the home turn. Splish Splash and My Girl Chezza collided in the home straight. 

Splish Splash was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a split webbing on the right hind foot. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre- race sample was taken from Flowing. 

Fernando Rocks, Evil Shadow and Final Chimes collided soon after the start. Horus Blue, Evil Shadow, Final Chimes and Edna Betts collided approaching the first turn, checking Final Chimes. Final Chimes brushed the running rail on the first turn. Evil Shadow and Edna Betts collided on the second turn. Edna Betts checked off Miss Tatts approaching the home turn. Evil Shadow raced wide approaching the home turn. 

Final Chimes was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury. 

Stewards issued a warning to Mr Maxwell Jones, the trainer of Final Chimes regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the back straight. 

Que Allen was slow to begin.

Akina Moss and Wears Woodleigh collided soon after the start. Que Allen galloped on Crossfire Icon approaching the first turn. Akina Moss and Stylish Missile collided from the first turn to the second turn, checking both greyhounds. Cee Me Shine, Wears Woodleigh and Dewana Be Sure collided on the third turn, checking Wears Woodleigh.

A sample was taken from Dyna Reaver, the winner of the event. 

Sunny's Kayo was a late scratching at 6:35pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to illness. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

 A pre-race sample was taken from Our Delta Rose. 

Our Delta Rose, Primed Engine and Doc's Reward collided on the first turn. I'm The Poppet and Vanishka collided on the first turn. Our Delta Rose and Doc's Reward collided on the second turn. I'm The Poppet checked off Doc's Reward on the third turn. Primed Engine and Vanishka collided on the home turn. 

A pre- race sample was taken from Fairy Vixen. 

Manny Allen and Captain Jackie were slow to begin. 

Fairy Vixen, Madam Kinloch, Trey Smidge and Dyna Quota collided approaching the first turn, checking Trey Smidge and severely checking Madam Kinloch and Zoro Bale. Manny Allen and Dyna Quota collided approching the second turn. Fairy Vixen checked off Lady Mikado entering the home straight. Dyna Quota marred Fairy Vixen in the home straight.

Madam Kinloch was vetted following the event at the request of the trainer. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left lateral gluteal. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Fairy Vixen was vetted following the event. it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left hamstring. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Dyna Quota was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left calf injury and an abrasion to the left hock. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mrs Heather Collins the representative for the greyhound Dyna Quota regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Dyna Quota with marring. Mrs Collins pleaded guilty to the charge, Dyna Quota was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) kennel attendant, Ms Kathleen Newport did not act in any official capacity for this event.

Jobes Return was quick to begin. 

Cee Me Entertain and Gaza's Rooster collided soon after the start. Laurentide Ice, Jobes Return, Walk Woody Walk and Cee Me Entertain collided approaching the first turn, checking Laurentide Ice. Laurentide Ice and Walk Woody Walk collided on the first turn. Gaza's Rooster and Charlie Haze collided on the first turn. Laurentide Ice checked off Walk Woody Walk on the second turn. Jobes Return and Gaza's Rooster collided in the back straight. Charlie Haze galloped on Belleperi Miss approaching the home turn, checking Charlie Haze.

A sample was taken from Empress Rose, the winner of the event.

Gehring Bale was slow to begin. 

Akina Dee Jay and Dewana Express collided approaching the first turn. It's A Thrill, Zipping Maisy and Dewana Express collided on the first turn. 

A pre- race sample was taken from July Allen. 

Brandeen Bayley was quick to begin. 

Dyna Arrow and Tooka Half collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds. Dyna Arrow and Tooka Half collided on the first turn, severely checking Dyna Arrow. July Allen, Lucas Rose and Really Magic collided approaching the home turn. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Aaron Setford, the trainer of Articus regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Articus last race on 15 July, 2018 and is returning to racing following a spell. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Trevor Whitford, the trainer of Holyfield regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Holyfiled last raced on 11 June, 2018 and is returning to racing following a left hind toe injury. Mr Whitford also declared a new weight of 38.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Holyfield last raced at 36.9kgs. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Articus. 

Myrniong Cosmo was quick to begin.

Holyfield checked off Just Blacky approaching the first turn. Five Lights and Just Blacky collided on the home turn. 

A pre- race sample was taken from Lord Davinci.

Silvagne cubed was quick to begin.

Silvagni Cubed, Chloe Crumpet and All You Got collided soon after the start. Lights Of Tanjil, Silvagni Cubed and Chloe Crumpet collided approaching the first turn, checking Silvagni Cubed and All You Got. Zade's Magic galloped on Lord Davinci approaching the first turn. 

Aremac Igor was a late scratching at 6:38pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr Gary Mcmillan was fined the sum of $100.

A pre- race sample was unable to be obtained from Farfalla Nera, a post race sample was subsequently taken. 

Why Not Macca was slow to begin. 

Why Not Macca and Vladimir Rose collided soon after the start. Farfalla Nera and Go Zippy Go collided approaching the first turn, checking Farfalla Nera. Farfalla Nera checked off Go Zippy Go on the home turn, checking Farfalla Nera.

Layback Cruiser was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound has a low grade heart murmur. No stand down period was imposed.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results - 

Dex's Affair trialled over the 311m from box 6 weight 33.1kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.48, the greyhound won by a margin of 0.5L. Dex's Affair was cleared.

Stewards spoke to Mr Travis Howell, the trainer of Osaka Bale regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Osaka Bale last raced on 3 October, 2017 and is returning to racing after whelping. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Osaka Bale trialled over the 311m from box 1, weight 31.3kgs the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.48, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2L. Osaka Bale was cleared.
