Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr David Plant, the trainer of Karaoke Ken regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Karaoke Ken last raced on 21 September, 2018. Mr Plant stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following an injury to the right back muscle and the inability to gain a start. Mr D. Plant also declared a new weight of 36.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Karaoke Ken last raced at 34.9kgs.
A pre race sample was taken from Karaoke Ken.
Jimbo's Sox and Notorious King were quick to begin. Izza Lektra was slow to begin.
Kamchatka Lenny and Notorious King raced wide in the home straight.
Karaoke Ken was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr David Plant, the trainer of the greyhound Karaoke Ken regarding the greyhound's performance. Mr Plant stated that the greyhound had been trialling satisfactorily and it was his intention to race over a shorter distance. Mr Plant added that it would be his intention to retire the greyhound as it is now six years old. Stewards deemed the performance of Karaoke Ken unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, directed that Karaoke Ken must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
