Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Fair Ride.
Krisbar Blue Fox and Some Spark were slow to begin. Unusable and Proven Chat collided soon after the start. Conde, Proven Chat and Unusable collided approaching the first turn checking Conde. Conde and Miss Crazy collided on the first turn. Conde and Wild Sticks collided approaching the home turn checking Wild Sticks. Krisbar Blue Fox and Proven Chat collided entering the home straight. Miss Crazy and Proven Chat collided in the home straight checking Miss Crazy.
Proven Chat was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right hind limb, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Meeting Comments:-
Re-Vetted Greyhound - Shamrock Valley was presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling and was Cleared to race.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Newman, the trainer of Scarlett Tilly regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Scarlett Tilly last raced on 27th December 2017. Mr. Newman stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a change of kennels. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Scarlett Tilly trialled over the 425mt from box 1, weight 28.7kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.31, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 23.75L. Scarlett Tilly was not cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results - Lightning Ben trialled over the 425mt from box 3, weight 33.2kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.31, the greyhound won by a margin of 2L. Lightning Ben was cleared.
