A trial of the GRV-endorsed ISO-LYNX real-time tracking system was conducted throughout today's racing program.  All race rugs used today in races 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 were fitted with a location tracking beacon as part of this trial.

Edna Betts and Winning Broke were quick to begin.  Edna Betts checked off Winning Broke soon after the start.  Sailor Allen, Ask Me Now and Penta Allen collided on the first turn, checking Sailor Allen and Ask Me Now.  Sailor Allen checked off Minter Bee Cash on the third turn.  Minter Bee Cash checked off Ask Me Now approaching the home turn.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr Glenn Rounds with a breach of GAR 46(2), in that he failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound Winning Broke. 

Ya Ya Ya and Nigel Allen collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds. Oh Spolly and She's For Us collided approaching the first turn.  Oh Spolly, She's For Us and Ohana Lad collided on the first turn, checking Ohana Lad.  Dyna Diode raced wide on the first turn and clipped the heels of She's For Us and Ohana Lad.  Ya Ya Ya and Nigel Allen collided on the second turn, checking Nigel Allen.  Oh Spolly checked off Ohana Lad in the back straight.  Oh Spolly, Dyna Diode and Ya Ya Ya collided on the third turn, checking Oh Spolly and Ya Ya Ya. She's For Us and Ohana Lad collided entering the home straight, checking Ohana Lad.  Oh Spolly and Ya Ya Ya collided in the home straight, checking Oh Spolly and Nigel Allen.

She's For Us, which hit the catching pen gate, was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Final Chimes engaged in this event on 25 September 2018, pursuant to GAR 79A.

A pre-race sample was taken from Aston Kenji upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Flossing was quick to begin.  Limburg Will and Nothin' To Lose collided approaching the first turn, checking Nothin' To Lose.  Dundee Jive and Aston Kenji collided on the first turn, checking Aston Kenji.  Nothin' To Lose checked off Final Chimes approaching the second turn.  Final Chimes faltered in the back straight.  Limburg Will and Aston Kenji collided on the third turn.

Final Chimes was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained left and right foreleg trapezius muscle injuries, a seven day stand down period was imposed.

Soda Flakes was quick to begin.  Zanzeedoo was slow to begin.  Alotta Weetbix, Zipping Mulga and Creative Playboy collided on the first turn, checking Zipping Mulga.  Alotta Weetbix checked off Creative Playboy in the front straight and collided with Zoro Bale, checking Alotta Weetbix and Zoro Bale.  Zipping Mulga and Zoro Bale collided on the second turn, checking Zipping Mulga.  Alotta Weetbix checked off Zanzeedoo in the back straight and again on the fourth turn.

Limburg Gunna and Full Of Weetbix collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking Full Of Weetbix.  Arma Rapida and Don't Trust collided in the back straight, checking Arma Rapida. Don't Trust and Full Of Weetbix collided on the third turn, checking Don't Trust.  Magical Bling and Limburg Gunna collided on the third turn, checking Magical Bling.

Full Of Weetbix, which fell in the catching pen, was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

The start of this event was delayed approximately one minute, due to holding for a Kellerberrin Harness race.

Opal Heist and Wanna Allen were quick to begin.  Mi Blue Day raced wide on the first turn and collided with Buckle Up Rose.  Opal Heist, Riviera Cruz and Minnesota Lee collided in the back straight, checking Riviera Cruz and Minnesota Lee.  Mi Blue Day and Minnesota Lee collided approaching the third turn, checking Minnesota Lee.  Riviera Cruz and Minnesota Lee collided entering the home straight, checking Minnesota Lee.

Cruisy's Lil was slow to begin.  Winsome Express, Cosmic Collinda and Callum's Son collided approaching the first turn, checking Winsome Express and Cosmic Collinda.  Buzz Rash, Tiarna Keeping and Kaylin collided on the first turn, checking Buzz Rash and Tiarna Keeping.  Cosmic Collinda checked off Callum's Son on the first turn.  Winsome Express and Cosmic Collinda collided entering the back straight, checking Cosmic Collinda.  Winsome Express, Buzz Rash and Cruisy's Lil collided on the third turn, checking Winsome Express and Buzz Rash.

Fire And Smoke were quick to begin.  Vrontios and Destini Cavalier collided on the first turn, checking Vrontios.  Werner Bale, Destini Ferrari and Swanny Flyer collided on the first turn, checking Destini Ferrari and Swanny Flyer.  Vrontios and Destini Ferrari collided on the second turn.  Swanny Flyer checked off Werner Bale on the third turn.  Leopardstown and Come On Colour collided in the home straight, checking Leopardstown.

Mel Moran and Riddles collided soon after the start.  Jump In Line crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking Mel Moran, Riddles, Aston Nirvana, Cee Me Entertain and Cee Me Ignite.  Jump In Line and Dusky Dominance collided approaching the first turn, checking Jump In Line.  Jump In Line and Aston Nirvana collided approaching the first turn, checking Jump In Line.  Cee Me Entertain and Cee Me Ignite collided on the first turn, checking Cee Me Ignite.  Mel Moran and Aston Nirvana collided on the second turn, checking Aston Nirvana and Cee Me Entertain.  Jump In Line raced wide in the back straight. Zipping Clare and Sooki La Rico collided soon after the start.  Weetbix Bites and Nangar Jill collided soon after the start, checking Weetbix Bites.  Ohana Sparkles, Zipping Clare and Sooki La Rico collided approaching the first turn, checking Zipping Clare and Sooki La Rico.  Zipping Clare and Sooki La Rico collided in the back straight, checking Sooki La Rico.  Sooki La Rico and Why Not Kez collided entering the home straight, checking Why Not Kez.  Weetbix Bites clipped the heels of Why Not Kez entering the home straight.  Sooki La Rico marred the running of Why Not Kez in the home straight and collided with Weetbix Bites, checking Sooki La Rico and Why Not Kez.

Sooki La Rico was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained right hindleg hamstrings and quadriceps injuries, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Luckie Karabitsakos, the trainer of the greyhound Sooki La Rico, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Sooki La Rico with marring.  Mr Karabitsakos pleaded not guilty to the charge, Sooki La Rico was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Okay Kirsty was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained left and right foreleg latissimus dorsi/trapezius muscle and right hindleg hip injuries, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
