A trial of the GRV-endorsed ISO-LYNX real-time tracking system was conducted throughout today's racing program.  All race rugs used today in races 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 were fitted with a location tracking beacon as part of this trial.

Fly By Them was slow to begin.  Spolly James, Up North Dougie and Professor Gold collided soon after the start.  Honours, Minter Bee Cash, Up North Dougie and Fly By Them collided approaching the first turn.  Minter Bee Cash, Up North Dougie, Professor Gold and Fly By Them collided on the first turn, checking Minter Bee Cash and Professor Gold.  Up North Dougie and Honours collided on the third turn, checking both greyhounds.  Professor Gold and Honours collided in the home straight.

Zanzeedoo was slow to begin.  Aussie Bok Choy, Plummy's Girl, Zanzeedoo and Rapid Belle Noir collided on the first turn, checking all four greyhounds.  Evil Shadow raced wide on the second turn and lost ground.  Rapid Belle Noir and Plummy's Girl collided on the second turn, checking Plummy's Girl.  Zanzeedoo and Aussie Bok Choy collided on the fourth turn.  Rapid Belle Noir checked off the heels of Plummy's Girl entering the home straight.

Romany Girl and Bush Song were quick to begin.  Jump In Line was slow to begin.  Bush Song crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Cee Me Shine and Romany Girl.  Zipping Dharma, Brindle Daisy, Cee Me Shine and Romany Girl collided approaching the first turn, checking Brindle Daisy, Cee Me Shine and Romany Girl.  Cee Me Ignite and Brindle Daisy collided approaching the second turn, checking Brindle Daisy and Gracie's Colour.  Gracie's Colour checked off Brindle Daisy on the third turn.  Brindle Daisy and Gracie's Colour in the home straight.

Ita Louisa was a late scratching at 8:03 am, due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Mahoney Miss and Ellie Wires were slow to begin.  Mahoney Miss and Hashtag Spolly collided on the first turn, checking Hashtag Spolly.  Hashtag Spolly and Ellie Wires collided on the second turn, checking both greyhounds.  Ellie Wires and Miss Malaysia collided approaching the third turn, checking Miss Malaysia.  Hashtag Spolly and Ellie Wires collided in the back straight, checking Ellie Wires and Miss Malaysia.

Hashtag Spolly was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Fifty Dollar was slow to begin.  It's A Thrill and Cindeen Jates collided soon after the start.  It's A Thrill and Geller Allen collided on the first turn, checking Geller Allen and Axel Footluce.  Major Amor checked off It's A Thrill approaching the second turn.  Inga Tom and Fifty Dollar collided on the home turn, checking Inga Tom.  Inga Tom and Fifty Dollar collided in the home straight, checking Inga Tom.

Inga Tom was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hindleg back muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Zagati and Aeroplane Mo collided on the first turn, checking Aeroplane Mo.  Noosa Parade and Matty Mateusz collided on the first turn; causing Matty Mateusz to race wide.  Noosa Parade and Matty Mateusz checked off the heels of Aeroplane Mo on the second turn.  Noosa Parade checked off the heels of Matty Mateusz on the third turn and collided with Deano's Smidge.

Minnesota Lee was slow to begin.  Kaylin, Spring Ace and Breakout collided soon after the start, checking all three greyhounds.  Handpass checked off Winston Cruise on the first turn, checking Kaylin.  Winston Cruise and Full Tilt collided on the first turn.  Breakout and Monster Machine collided on the first turn, checking Monster Machine and Minnesota Lee.  Kaylin checked off Spring Ace on the second turn.  Handpass checked off Winston cruise on the third turn, checking Minnesota Lee and Monster Machine.  Minnesota Lee and Spring Ace collided entering the home straight.

Mi Blue Day and Gehring Bale collided soon after the start.  Mi Blue Day and Reality Hawk collided approaching the first turn.  Rebecca Bale and Dyna Alia collided in the back straight.

Faraday was slow to begin.  Yoppi Allen stumbled at box rise and was slow to begin. Pietra Allen and Dyna Eva collided soon after the start.  Cee Me Entertain checked off Goldenpaw Lad soon after the start, approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking Pietra Allen.  Pietra Allen checked off Dyna Eva approaching the first turn.  Faraday galloped on Psychedelic Jay on the first turn, checking Psychedelic Jay.  Psychedelic Jay checked off Pietra Allen on the second turn.  Pietra Allen and Yoppi Allen collided entering the back straight.  Vivian Shiraz and Pietra Allen collided in the back straight, checking Pietra Allen.  Pietra Allen and Yoppi Allen collided approaching the third turn.  Yoppi Allen and Vivian Shiraz collided in the home straight.  Faraday and Dyna Eva collided approaching the winning post.

Perfect Project was slow to begin.  Connor Allen checked off Folding Green on the first turn.  Dyna Xerox checked off Folding Green on the third turn.  Why Not Peter and Connor Allen collided on the third turn, checking Why Not Peter.  Folding Green and Dyna Xerox collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight, checking both greyhounds.

Foxy Whip was slow to begin.  Cosmic Collinda, Ninety Proof, Mister Maker and Miles Per Gallon collided soon after the start, checking Mister Maker, Ninety Proof, Cosmic Collinda and Foxy Whip.  Foxy Whip and Mister Maker collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking Mister Maker, Ninety Proof and Royal Solo.  Ninety Proof and Mister Maker collided on the second turn.  Mister Maker and Cosmic Collinda collided on the third turn, checking both greyhounds.  Fairy Vixen, Foxy Whip and Miles Per Gallon collided on the third turn, checking all three greyhounds.  Foxy Whip and Fairy Vixen collided approaching the home turn, checking Foxy Whip, Fairy Vixen and Miles Per Gallon; resulting in Fairy Vixen becoming unbalanced.  Ninety Proof and Mister Maker collided approaching the home turn.  Ninety Proof, Mister Maker and Fairy Vixen collided on the home turn.  Cosmic Collinda checked off Magical Bling entering the home straight.

Fairy Vixen was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hindleg hock.  No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Borradale, the trainer of the greyhound Fairy Vixen, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn.  Stewards asked for the observations of Mr.Borradale and viewed all available video footage.  Mr.Borradale stated that he believed the greyhound went off stride when colliding with Foxy Whip.  Stewards were of the opinion that after colliding with Foxy Whip approaching the home turn, Fairy Vixen became unbalanced and was forced to race wide, then colliding and checking Miles Per Gallon.  No further action was taken.
