Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Holmes, the trainer of Manarola regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Manarola last raced on 8th May, 2018. Mr. Holmes stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following an extended spell.
Ledgerwood Molly was quick to begin. Ledgerwood Road and Manarola collided soon after the start. Elle's Toy and Sukhoi Su collided soon after the start. Elle's Toy checked off Mini Fernando soon after the start. Ledgerwood Road, Elle's Toy, Sukhoi Su and Red King Prince collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds. Manarola checked off Ledgerwood Molly approaching the home turn. Ledgerwood Road checked off Mini Fernando on the home turn.
