Murrabit Benny and Superior Chase were slow to begin.  Murrabit Benny and Bobby Ray collided soon after the start.  Murrabit Benny and Superior Chase collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Nostalgia and Bobby Ray collided on the first turn checking Bobby Ray.  Murrabit Benny and Superior Chase collided several times entering the home straight severely checking Superior Chase which fell as a result.

Superior Chase was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a lumbo-sacral injury and a minor bruising to its left leg.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Holmes, the trainer of Manarola regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Manarola last raced on 8th May, 2018.  Mr. Holmes stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following an extended spell.

Ledgerwood Molly was quick to begin.  Ledgerwood Road and Manarola collided soon after the start.  Elle's Toy and Sukhoi Su collided soon after the start.  Elle's Toy checked off Mini Fernando soon after the start.  Ledgerwood Road, Elle's Toy, Sukhoi Su and Red King Prince collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds.  Manarola checked off Ledgerwood Molly approaching the home turn.  Ledgerwood Road checked off Mini Fernando on the home turn.  Mini Fernando and Mr. Delahoya collided on the home turn checking Mr. Delahoya.  Ledgerwood Road and Mini Fernando collided entering the home straight.  Mini Fernando and Red King Prince collided in the home straight.  Ledgerwood Molly and Ledgerwood Road collided approaching the winning post checking Ledgerwood Road and Manarola.

Buddie's Al was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained shin soreness to its left leg and a spike wound to its left front leg.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr K Lloyd representative of Detroit Wally regarding the performance of the greyhound which was above market expectations.  Mr Lloyd stated that the greyhound had been working back up to distance racing since joining the kennel and performed to the kennel's expectation.

Art Noveau and My Boy Joey were slow to begin.  Miss Shieka, Ha Ha Gotcha and My Boy Joey collided approaching the first turn.  Kiss Me Putu, Betty La Fae and Cruising Stella collided on the first turn checking Kiss Me Putu, Betty La Fae and Art Noveau.  Betty La Fae and My Boy Joey collided approaching the winning post checking both greyhounds.

Subscapularis and Katlin were slow to begin.  Crackerjack Tim, Slingshot Jayla and Flying Action collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn, checking Crackerjack Tim and Slingshot Jayla.  Subscapularis checked off Logistic Kid on the first turn checking Slingshot Jayla and Flying Action and severely checking Crackerjack Tim and Subscapularis; Crackerjack Tim galloped on the heels of Subscapularis causing Subscapularis to stumble as a result.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Gladman, the trainer of Splash Of Blue regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Splash Of Blue last raced on 10th April, 2018.  Mr. Gladman stated the greyhound was returning to racing following a change of kennels.

Bush Destroyer which fell on the finish on lure was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
