Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Bate, the trainer of Jakesta, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Jakesta last raced on 19th May 2018. Mr. Bate stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right wrist injury.
A pre-race sample was taken from Jakesta.
Boof's Banjo, Luck's Run Out, Jakesta, Giant Jarvis and Chrissy Pee collided soon after the start checking Luck's Run Out and Giant Jarvis. Boof's Banjo, Jakesta and Chrissy Pee collided approaching the first turn checking Boof's Banjo and Jakesta. Jakesta, Cavalry Rose and Luck's Run Out collided on the home turn checking Cavalry Rose, Luck's Run Out and Chrissy Pee.
