Stewards spoke with Ms Deborah White, the trainer/handler of Banana Honeybear regarding her difficulty in boxing this greyhound. Stewards informed Ms White of the provisions of GAR 45 in that handlers are expected to be physically capable of performing the duties of handling to the required standard or another handler will be appointed in their place, by Stewards. The matter has been left with Ms White to self-regulate the issue however a warning was issued and the Stewards will act, if it was to again occur. Ms White's future endeavours will be monitored as will the boxing manners of Banana Honeybear. 

Banknote and Serendipity Life were slow to begin.

Banknote checked off Canyon County approaching the first turn.  Kamchatka Lenny faltered on the first turn and tailed off.  

Kamchatka Lenny was vetted and re-vetted following event 9.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hind toe injury, right monkey muscle injury, left shin soreness and spike wounds to the left fore and left and right hind paws, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

The start of this event was slightly delayed to allow a patron to be removed from a restricted area.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms K. Jackson, the trainer of Cosmic Lachy regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Cosmic Lachy last raced on 15 March 2018 and is returning to racing following a right webbing injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Cosmic Lachy trialled over the 400mtrs from box 3, weight 30.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.95, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4 lengths.  Cosmic Lachy was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Chachi Arcola trialled over the 400mtrs from box 5, weight 31.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.95, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 8 ¼ lengths. Chachi Arcola was Not Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Hurricane Rose trialled over the 400mtrs from box 7, weight 29.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.95, the greyhound won by a margin of 3 ½ lengths. Hurricane Rose was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Lance Allen trialled over the 460mtrs from box 1, weight 34.5kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 26.06, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1 ½ lengths.  Lance Allen was Cleared.
