A pre-race sample was taken from Springvale Mike.
Lil Miss Earner and Trium were slow to begin.
Springvale Mike checked off Here Comes Tom soon after the start checking Springvale Mike which lost ground as a result. Joycee Rae checked off Here Comes Tom approaching the first turn. Lil Miss Earner checked off Mazette on the first turn checking Lil Miss Earner which contacted the running rail as a result. Mazette raced wide on the home turn. Here Comes Tom tied over the concluding stages of the event.
Lil Miss Earner was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left sartorius muscle injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Springvale Mike was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left back muscle and right triangle injuries, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
