Lightning Ben was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained left metacarpal pain and a lumbo-sacral injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Zarbo Hustler and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 2:26pm due to weight variation(GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr B. Cook was fined the sum of $100.

Springvale Mike was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left back muscle and right triangle injuries, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Capo and Mask collided approaching the first turn checking Mask and Standing Bear in turn severely checking Capo which lost ground as a result.  Capo raced wide on the home turn.  Mask and Standing Bear collided approaching the winning post.

Capo was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr P. Gabriel, the trainer of Foxy Whip regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Foxy Whip last raced on 12 February 2018 and is returning from a right monkey muscle injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Foxy Whip trialled over the 400mtrs from box 1, weighing 27.4kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.72, the greyhound won by a margin of 4 3/4 lengths. Foxy Whip was Cleared.
