Stewards spoke to Ms K. Thorburn, the trainer of For You Honey regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. For You Honey last raced on 12 April 2018 and is returning from a spell and change of kennels.

My Bro Black and Shanlyn Dolly collided soon after the start.  Brindle Daisy checked off Santana on the first turn.  Santana raced wide in the home straight.  Crackerjack Man and For You Honey collided approaching the winning post.

Split Pea and Eye Owe You were quick to begin.  Angie was slow to begin.

Another Nalin and Shirdale Tom collided soon after the start checking Shirdale Tom.  House Of Luck crossed in on the first turn checking Split Pea, Eye Owe You and severely checking Moroka Assassin.  Split Pea and Another Nalin collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  House Of Luck and Major Storm collided in the home straight checking House Of luck.  House Of Luck and Major Storm raced tight approaching the winning post.

A pre-race sample was taken from Flamin' Miracle.

Bye Bye Brad was slow to begin.

New Fire Girl, Sambucca Rose and Bye Bye Brad collided approaching the first turn.  Rockin' Bar Lil and Supercity Star collided on the first turn.  Flamin' Miracle eased and failed to pursue the lure with due commitment on the first turn.  Sambucca Rose checked off New Fire Girl on the home turn.  Supercity Star checked off Rockin' Bar Lil.  Flamin' Miracle and New Fire Girl collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight.  Flamin' Miracle eased and failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight and collided Rockin' Bar Lil, New Fire Girl and Sambucca Rose. 

Flamin' Miracle was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  

Stewards spoke to Mr R. Dunne, the trainer of the greyhound Flamin' Miracle regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn and again in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Flamin' Miracle with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Dunne pleaded guilty to the charge, Flamin' Miracle was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 12 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(c), before any future nomination will be accepted

Midnight Muscat went up with the lids and was slow to begin.

Oni and Water Pistol collided soon after the start.  Blunderbuss and Ebb collided approaching the first turn checking Blunderbuss.  Oni and Water Pistol collided entering the home straight checking Oni.

A post-race sample was taken from Architecture - 2nd placegetter in the event.

Modern Jagger was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Candy Rose was slow to begin.

Stir Fry Shrimp, Meehan Barney and Dr. Cadeza collided approaching the first turn checking Stir Fry Shrimp and Dr. Cadenza.  Stir Fry Shrimp checked off Dr. Cadenza on the first turn.

Freedom Fire was slow to begin.

Freedom Fire checked off Dr. Paulina on the first turn.  Cheeky Cindy and Little Kensi collided on the first turn checking Freedom Fire.  Freedom Fire and Bowon Approach collided entering the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

French Defence and Reatily Shintaro were quick to begin.  Go Didda Go was slow to begin.

Mumma's Meatloaf checked off Absolute Breeze on the first turn checking Absolute Breeze.  Sweet Strike and Absolute Breeze collided entering the home straight checking Mumma's Meatloaf.  Reatily Shintaro contacted the running rail entering the home straight.  Sweet Strike and Absolute Breeze collided approaching the winning post.

All You Got was quick to begin.  Aston Halle and Dr. Oliver were slow to begin.

Aston Halle, Spazzy Blue and Dr. Oliver collided on the first turn checking Aston Halle and severely checking Spazzy Blue which faltered and pulled up as a result.  Lektra Rival and Aston Halle collided entering the home straight.

Spazzy Blue was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist sprain and right hock sprain, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Alonso Power and Black Shirley were slow to begin.

Dr. Walter and Alonso Power collided on the first turn checking Alonso Power.  Miss Booming, Dr. Dedra and Troy Boyce collided approaching the home turn.  Black Shirley checked off Troy Boyce in the home straight and crossed to the rail.  Dr. Dedra raced wide in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Goorawin upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Urban Shiraz and Shadow Walker collided soon after the start checking Urban Shiraz.  Delta's Magic, Shadow Walker and Goorawin collided approaching the first turn checking Shadow Walker.  Urban Shiraz checked off Delta's Magic on the first turn and collided with Shadow Walker severely checking Urban Shiraz and Shadow Walker.  Cut Snake and Wicked Hillary collided approaching the home turn.  Goorawin checked off Soeztoc approaching the home turn checking Soeztoc and Wicked Hillary.  Cut Snake and Goorawin collided in the home straight.  Soeztoc and Wicked Hillary collided in the home straight.

Shadow Walker was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Dr. Compulsion, Brandeen Fi and Dr. Watson were slow to begin.

Surfonic Gold and Miss Crazy collided soon after the start.  Dr. Toretto checked off Primrose Diamond on the first turn.  Miss Crazy checked off Surfonic Gold approaching the home turn checking Brandeen Fi.  Dr. Compulsion clipped the heels of Mandela Sun entering the home straight and fell checking Dr. Watson and Miss Crazy.

Dr. Compulsion was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hamstring and right thigh injuries, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

MEETING COMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr P. Scofield, the trainer of Zero Five regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Zero Five last raced on19 December 2017 and is returning from tonsillitis.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Zero Five trialled over the 400mtrs from box 6, weight 32.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23:16, the greyhound won by a margin of 1/2 length. Zero Five was Cleared.
