Pursuant to GAR 104(6) Catching Pen Assistant Mr S. Courts did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.
A pre-race sample was taken from Jessie's Star.
Zoro Bale was slow to begin.
Yuken Merry and Galway Icon collided soon after the start. Newfire Chelle and Jessie's Star collided soon after the start. Yuken Win, Galway Icon, Jugungal Black and Newfire Chelle collided approaching the first turn severely Jugungal Black, Newfire Chelle and Jessie's Star, Newfire Chelle fell as a result. Jessie's Star and Maximum Bliss raced wide in the home straight.
Jugungal Black underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Newfire Chelle underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an open fractured radius/ulna injury. Newfire Chelle was humanely euthanased.
