Steward's Report
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Molly The Lolly engaged in this event on 30 July 2018 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Stewards spoke to Mr I. Rilen, the representative of Sweet Spolly regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Sweet Spolly last raced on 23 March 2018 and is returning after a change of kennels.
A pre-race sample was taken from Urban Image.
Sharon's Gold and Sweet Spolly were quick to begin. Molly The Lolly was slow to begin.
Sweet Spolly crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Sharon's Gold and Urban Image. Sharon's Gold checked off Sweet Spolly approaching the first turn. Urban Image galloped on Aeroplane Bella on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds. Sharon's Gold and White Fernando collided entering the home straight.
Urban Image was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right front torn nail, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Aeroplane Bella was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left calf injury and an abrasion to the left hind, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
MEETING COMMENTS:
Satisfactory Trial Results - Bont's Magic trialled over the 400mtrs from box 1, weight 30.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.82, the greyhound won by a margin of 3 1/2 lengths. Bont's Magic was Cleared.
